Background of the Study

Work ethics refers to the moral principles and values that guide an individual’s behavior at work, including dedication, responsibility, integrity, and discipline (Oluwaseun & Ikemefuna, 2023). In organizations, strong work ethics foster a positive environment, improving employee behavior and contributing to organizational performance. The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC), a major player in the beverage industry, has long emphasized the importance of cultivating strong work ethics to drive its business success.

In Kwara State, NBC’s operations involve the production and distribution of a variety of beverages, with a large workforce. Despite the company’s prominence, the influence of work ethics on organizational performance at NBC’s Kwara State operations has not been thoroughly examined. Understanding how work ethics shape employee behavior and contribute to organizational success can provide valuable insights into improving performance and achieving corporate goals (Folarin & Olayemi, 2024). This study explores how work ethics influence organizational performance at NBC in Kwara State, focusing on key aspects such as productivity, quality control, and employee relations.

This study seeks to fill the gap in knowledge by investigating how work ethics at NBC contribute to organizational performance in Kwara State.
